Musical
‘Musical’ is a new performance work by Colette Sadler which premiered at WP Zimmer in Antwerp on November 7th 2009. This new group work takes its inspiration from comic burlesque and British Music Hall performance as a starting point to consider the relationship between music and dance. The sound in this work is generated primarily by the dancers bodies and voices opening up a space to consider the possible coming together and apart of the synchronous relationship between gesture and sound.
The Making of Doubt
The Making of Doubt, choreographed by Colette Sadler in 2008, is currently on European touring at various locations and festivals. After the performance at CDC/Biennale de la danse du Val-de-Marne (Les Plateaux), up and coming performances continue at the Traverse Theatre Edinburgh on November 24th 09 and as part of Firsts 09 at the Royal Opera House London on November 27th and 28th 09.
Children’s project
Stammer productions started recently a series of children workshops with local primary schools in Glasgow. The workshops, entitled “Impossible bodies” aimed to introduce children to contemporary dance and performance which resulted in short performance presentations. The concept was based on Colette Sadler’s latest performance The Making of Doubt and was facilitated by Colette Sadler and members of stammer productions.
