Musical
‘Musical’ (2009) takes a humorous look at entertainment through the lens of post-modern dance. Playing with certain associations and expectations suggested by the title word, ’Musical’ is not entertaining per se but is rather about entertainment and self-amusement. After its creation Musical has toured to festivals and venues internationally. The next performance is as part of Nottdance Festival 2011 on 27th February at Lakeside Art Gallery in Nottingham. www.dance4.co.uk
The Making of Doubt
The Making of Doubt, choreographed by Colette Sadler in 2008, has been performed over 25 times since its premiere at Tramway Glasgow in 2008. Most recently it was presented alongside the British Art Show 7 in Notthingham at the Notthingham Contemporary (30th Oct) and at the Lemontree in collaboration with DanceLive Festival in Aberdeen (22nd Oct).
Creation 2011 / “I not I”
This performance presents a collection of both human and nonhuman bodies. Alongside the codes of ‘normal’ human behaviour a language of the strange or uncanny appears as forms, gestures and movements that becomes a way of being in its own right. On what terms do we dececifer the meaning of this otherness?
