The Making of Doubt takes the human doll as an emblem of representation and places it within the real and impossible condition of its words and actions. Is it possible to extend the notion of agency beyond the human? How much authenticity does the viewer need to construct a system of belief around the fake – what details could be left out or taken away? The Making of Doubt is a Tramway co-production made with financial support from Creative Scotland and Glasgow City Council. Created in residencies at Fabrik Potsdam, PACT Zollverein Essen and WP Zimmer Antwerp.
