Musical
Colette Sadler’s latest work with sound by Viennese composer and musician Noid takes dramaturgical inspiration from comic burlesque and British Music Hall performance as a starting point to consider the relationship between music and dance. Mixing both abstract dance and comic gesture, the sound in this work is generated primarily by the dancers bodies and voices. The ‚musical’ score is a result of the synchronous coming together and apart of movement and sound. Produced by stammer productions with financial support from Creative Scotland and NPN National Performance Network with funding provided by the German Federal cultural foundation as part of its project Dance Plan Germany. Created in residency at Dance Ireland, PACT Zollverein Essen, Vooruit Ghent and WPZimmer Antwerp.
